Founded in 1986, Shawton Engineering has established a reputation for excellence in the fabrication of structural steelwork, architectural metalwork and specialist stainless steel pressure vessels, containments and structures for the nuclear and pharmaceutical industries.
Over recent years, Shawton have undertaken the manufacture of fabrications and components in materials as diversified as austentic and martenistic stainless steels, nickel alloys and high strength quenched and tempered steels, to the most stringent of National and Consumer Standards. This experience, together with the “can do” attitude and commitment to timely project completion by it’s management and workforce has enabled the Company to participate in some of the most challenging constructional work in both the UK and abroad.
In an industry where components are required to withstand up to forty years uninterrupted service in the most challenging and harshest of environments, designers are continually looking towards new and futuristic technologies for the solution to their particular problems. Once the designer has established his needs, Shawton Engineering brings its’ specialist engineering skills to bear to fulfill these needs.
The combination of a skilled and flexible workforce together with a detailed knowledge of fabrication techniques enables Shawton to provide cost effective and high quality manufacturing solutions to complement the designers’ aspirations.
Within the last few years, the company has grown to a turnover approaching £10m which is generated with blue chip clients such as Bovis Lend Lease, Laing O’Rourke, BNFL and Rolls Royce.
